Tools to boost awareness,
gain recognition, attain
preference and maintain loyalty
H
ow important is customer loyalty? Supremely. According
to the Gartner Group, 80% of your future business will
come from 20% of your current customers. However, that doesn’t
displace the need for acquisition strategies to replace natural customer
attrition that occurs over time. In fact, retention and acquisition can work hand
in hand; a referral program, for example, further solidifies current relationships while
your customer brand ambassadors raise awareness and do some of your prospecting.
Large or small, branding is important for organizations of all sizes, as all share the
same goal: moving people from initial awareness to true loyalty so that you can grow
your company, organization or nonprofit for the long haul. The following are some
tactical ideas to get you started.
